Izzy Gilmore

Youth Advocate

Hi, I’m Izzy Gilmore! I’m the Youth Advocate at Lark’s Song. I work on the administrative team to bring up the needs and concerns of kids my age to the Lark’s Song team, advocating for more teen programming, and I am a leader among my peers, being a kind of go-between for the adults and youth at Lark’s Song.

I help do various tasks in my position including helping with socal media, organization, and other behind the scenes work. I also love to help out at superhero camp, each year, as a jr. leader on the blue team!

Lark’s song has always been like a second home and a good and safe community to me. It’s always been a reliable and considerate, non discriminational community.

In my free time, I like to spend time with my friends, doing to events, parties, and festivals and I love making crafts.

I want to be a play therapist when I’m older, and I think my role at Lark’s Song and knowing about well-being, grounding, coaching and other related concepts we teach about at Lark’s Song will help me in my future.

My hope for Lark’s Song is that we find our new space, make new connections, and find more joy in the work that we do!
