Board Vice-Chair

I am James L. Holmes. I am recently retired from my role as a Health System Specialist with the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System, Cleveland Ohio. I worked in the office directly for executive leadership of the healthcare system. My primary job role there was: to be the congressional liaison for my organization. This entails being the point person for congressional stakeholders from the House of Representatives and Senate to consult or send inquiries from their Veteran constituents.

I am also a Veteran who served in the military for twenty years. It has been a humbling experience working within my organization being in a position to give back to others who have served in the military.

I am a certified Lark’s Song coach serving in the following roles: (1) Vice-Chairperson on the Board, and (2) Co-Facilitator, Lark’s Song Black Affinity Group. I also have served as a co-assistant and co-facilitator during Lark’s Song Coaching Cohort sessions.

Through Lark’s Song I have learned a lot about my inner self. I have been able to recognize better ways to effectively communicate with others. Coaching has benefited me in various ways. Most significantly, my way of life has been enriched. I view and handle life situations in a more profound way personally and professionally.

My hope for Lark’s Song in the coming year is to continue growing, being a support network and reaching the lives of others who need peace or are searching for peace through coaching.
